Castle of Torre in Pietra
Hidden in uncontaminated woods, lit by the warm light of the Roman countryside, Torre in Pietra Castle is a marvellous architectural complex, an open book that tells the story of centuries of the history of ancient and noble families, and famous artists. For its architectural beauty and the natural setting that surrounds it, it is the ideal place where to celebrate weddings, host events, meetings, gala evenings and film sets.
The Castle is mediaeval in structure, with walls, moat and defence tower, inside which is the seventeenth Palace and the lovely octagonal Church, the work of the famous architect Ferdinando Fuga. You can celebrate your wedding in the Church, with seating for up 120.
The gardens, with at their centre a large fountain, are shaded by ancient pines and plane trees, and ancient courtyards lead into the halls with their eighteenth century frescoes by Pier Leone Ghezzi. It is a stately home bound by the Superintendence as a national historical and artistic monument, and is a member of the Lazio Association of Stately Homes (Associazione Dimore Storiche del Lazio).
Torre in Pietra Castle is a mere 25 kilometres from Rome and just 19 from Fiumicino Airport.
The wedding banquet can be served on the lawn, where up 500 can be seated, or in the Sala Peretti, the imposing hall that looks onto a large courtyard and is linked to the gardens, which can seat up to 160.
If you prefer you can welcome your guests in the hall on the Piano Nobile, the main or ‘Noble’ floor of the Castle, decorated throughout with eighteenth century frescoes, and which can host up to 260 people.
At the Castle you will enjoy absolute privacy, a relaxing environment and all the help and assistance you may need. You have at your disposal conference seating for 180 in the Sala Peretti and 80 in the hall on the Piano Nobile, plus other rooms for smaller meetings and open-air spaces for your activities or events in your programme.
